🏛️Last week the 6th graders became members of Congress! They each wrote bills, fought for those bills to get passed in committee, debated the bills in the House and the Senate, and voted to either pass or decline them. They chose 6 bills to move on to the Executive Branch to be approved or vetoed by the president. Their bills included important topics like raising minimum wage, switching to metal silverware in the cafeteria to lower waste, protecting animal rights, banning vapes, and raising the age for purchasing energy drinks. ⚖️📜 #VikingVictories
